House of Holstein-Gottorp-Romanov

So, a long long time ago, there was a group of people called the House of Holstein-Gottorp-Romanov. They were a really important family in Russia, kind of like a big boss family.

The family was called "Holstein-Gottorp" because they came from a place called Holstein-Gottorp, which is like their hometown. And "Romanov" was their last name because that's the name of the family that ruled Russia before them.

The most famous person from this family was a lady named Catherine the Great. She was really smart and did a lot of good things for Russia, like helping to improve education and making the country more powerful.

The House of Holstein-Gottorp-Romanov was in charge of Russia for a really long time, but eventually they lost their power and influence. But even though they aren't in charge anymore, they are still remembered as an important part of Russian history.
