Building a house is like building a big Lego set that you're going to live in! First, we have to plan what the house will look like and draw it on paper so we don't forget anything.
Next, we have to dig a hole for the foundation- that's like the big plate you put your Lego set on. The foundation is made of concrete and it's what holds the house up. Once that's done, the walls can start going up!
The walls are made of wood and insulation, kind of like putting pieces of Lego together. We also have to put in things like doors and windows where we want them.
After the walls are up, we put on the roof- that's like putting the top of the Lego set on. We use special materials like shingles to make sure the roof keeps the rain out.
Then, it's time to start working on the inside of the house. We add things like wiring for electricity, pipes for water, and insulation to keep us warm in the winter and cool in the summer.
Finally, we add all the finishing touches like paint, flooring, and cabinets so it feels like a real home to live in. Voila! A new house is built!
