Human rights in Malaysia

Human rights are like rules that every person deserves to have, so that they can live their life happily and without anyone hurting them. In Malaysia, these rules are set up by the government to make sure that everyone is treated fairly and kindly.

Some examples of human rights in Malaysia are:

- Everyone has the right to freedom of speech and expression, which means that they can say what they want without being punished or hurt by anyone else.

- Every person has the right to practice their own religion, or not have a religion at all. This means that they can go to a mosque, a church, a temple, or any other place of worship, and nobody can stop them.

- Every person has the right to education, which means that they have the chance to learn and get a good job to support themselves.

- Every person has the right to a fair trial, meaning that if they are accused of something, they will be given a chance to defend themselves and be judged by an impartial judge.

Unfortunately, in Malaysia, there are still some cases where people's human rights are not respected. For example, some people may be discriminated against because of their race, religion, or gender. This means that they are not treated fairly, and they may not get the same opportunities as others.

To protect human rights in Malaysia, the government has set up institutions like the Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (SUHAKAM) and the National Unity and Integration Department to help prevent discrimination and make sure that everyone's rights are respected.
