ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Humberto Maturana

Humberto Maturana was a scientist from Chile. He studied how we think and how our thoughts influence the way we behave. He developed a theory called "the biology of cognition," which explains how people learn and interpret their experiences. In his theory, he argued that people's thoughts and behaviors are shaped by their environment, their experiences, and their beliefs. Maturana believed that the way we think and act is determined by the environment and experiences we have had, and so our actions can be changed by altering our environment or learning new beliefs. He also proposed that people's behaviors are largely determined by the interactions with their environment, and their ability to form new understandings and perspectives. Maturana's work has been used by psychologists and educators to help people understand themselves better and achieve their fullest potential.
