Huntington's disease

Ok kiddo, so you know how every person has something called DNA in their body that tells our body how to work and grow?

Well, sometimes a person can inherit something called Huntington's Disease from their parents. This means that a special part of their DNA is a bit wonky, and that can cause problems in their brain as they get older.

As a person with Huntington's disease gets older, they might start to have trouble with moving their arms and legs, and doing everyday things like talking or eating. They might also have trouble remembering things, and can become very sad or angry.

Unfortunately, there isn't really a cure or a way to undo the damage that the disease can cause. But doctors and scientists are always working hard to find ways to help people with Huntington's disease feel more comfortable and have a better quality of life.
