Hwarang

Hwarang is a group of young people who were part of an ancient Korean society. They were like a club or a team, made up of boys who were expected to grow up to be strong and brave leaders. They were trained in martial arts, archery, horseback riding, poetry, and music to make them really skilled and smart.

These boys were picked for their talents and were taught to follow a code of honor that told them to be respectful, kind, and courageous. They were also told to be loyal and protect their people.

Hwarang was started more than 1,000 years ago in the Silla dynasty of Korea. Back then, they were really important because they were the next leaders of their country. They helped to keep peace and defend their people from enemies.

Today, Hwarang is still remembered as a symbol of honor, courage, and loyalty in Korea. People even dress up in traditional Hwarang costumes during festivals to celebrate their heritage.
