Hyperthermia therapy

Okay kiddo, so hyperthermia therapy is when doctors use heat to help treat certain illnesses.

Just like when you get a fever and your body gets hot to fight off germs, hyperthermia therapy intentionally raises a person's body temperature to try and kill cancer cells or viruses.

There are different types of hyperthermia therapy, but they all involve using some kind of machine or device to generate heat that is directed at the part of the body that needs treatment.

Sometimes, people might have to sit in a special chamber filled with hot air, while other times doctors might use focused waves of electromagnetic radiation or microwaves to heat up cancer cells.

Hyperthermia therapy is often used in combination with other treatments, like chemotherapy or radiation, to help make them more effective.

It's important to note that hyperthermia therapy is not for everyone and it can have side effects like sweating, nausea, and fatigue. But for some people, it can be a helpful part of their treatment plan.
