ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Hypothesis theory

Okay kiddo, so let me tell you about something called a hypothesis theory. A hypothesis is like a guess that scientists make about something they want to study. For example, they could guess that a certain type of food is good for your brain. But just guessing is not enough! They need to test this guess and see if it's really true.

To do this, they conduct experiments and collect data. If they found out that the food they tested helped improve brain function, then their hypothesis would be supported by the evidence. This is where the hypothesis becomes a theory. A theory is a well-established and well-evidenced set of ideas that help explain something in science.

So in summary, a hypothesis is a guess, and a theory is a scientific idea that has been proven through experiments and research. It helps us understand and explain things in a scientific way.
