Sometimes when we hear someone talking, we know who it is just by listening to their voice. That's because everyone's voice is unique, like a fingerprint. When we talk, the air in our throat and mouth vibrates and creates sound waves that travel through the air to our ears. Our brain listens to these sound waves and helps us understand what the person is saying, but it also remembers what that person's voice sounds like. So even if we can't see the person, we might still be able to recognize them just by hearing their voice. It's kind of like a secret code that our brain remembers!
