ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

INTLAB

Intlab is like a special calculator that helps us do really hard math problems. Imagine you have a big math problem like 2+2 but instead of just writing down 4 as the answer, you want to make sure the answer is exactly right, even if it has lots of decimal places.

Intlab helps you do that by using something called interval arithmetic. This means instead of just working with one number, you work with a range of possible numbers. For example, if you wanted to find the square root of 9, you know it's somewhere between 3 and 4, so Intlab would give you a range of possible answers, like 3.0001 to 3.999.

This is really useful because sometimes when we do math on a regular calculator, it might give us an answer that's not exactly right because of rounding or other small errors. But with Intlab, we can be sure that our answer is as close to perfect as possible.

So that's what Intlab does - it helps us do really hard math problems and be as accurate as possible!
