ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

IPFS

IPFS is like a magic box where you can put things inside and then find them again whenever you want, no matter where you are in the world.

When you put something in the box, IPFS keeps track of it by giving it a special code. This code is like an address that tells IPFS where the thing you put in the box is located.

Other people can also put things in the same box and get their own special codes. This means that there can be many things stored in the box, but all of them have their own unique code.

When you want to find something that you put in the box, all you have to do is give IPFS the code that it gave you when you first put it in. IPFS will then find it for you and give it back to you, so you can look at it, listen to it or whatever it is you want to do with it.

The best thing about IPFS is that it can keep your things safe and secure. It does this by making lots of copies of each thing you put in the box, and then spreading those copies across lots of different computers all around the world. This means that even if some of the computers break or are turned off, there will always be other ones left to keep your things safe.

So in short, IPFS is a magic box that can store all sorts of things and keep them safe and secure, no matter where you are in the world.
