ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Ideal polyhedron

Hey kiddo, do you know what a shape with flat faces is called? It's called a polyhedron! Now, picture a ball. A ball is a three-dimensional shape but it doesn't have flat faces, so it's not a polyhedron.

But what if we take a cube, for example? A cube is a polyhedron because it has six flat faces that are all squares. Pretty cool, right?

Now, an ideal polyhedron means that every face is the same shape and size, just like in our cube example where all faces are squares. Additionally, in an ideal polyhedron, all the angles between the faces must be the same as well.

It's kind of like having a perfectly formed shape without any imperfections or variations. Just imagine a shape with perfectly flat, identical faces and angles. That's what an ideal polyhedron is like!
