Identity Politics

Identity politics is when people group together to fight for their rights related to something about who they are. For example, people who have the same skin color, come from the same place, or have the same gender might join together and stand up for things like the right to vote, the right to be treated fairly, or the right to go to school. Identity politics helps people who have been mistreated to stand up for their rights.
