Identity function

An identity function is like when you wear your own clothes. Just like how your clothes make you who you are, an identity function doesn't change anything about the number or information that you give it, it just gives you the same exact thing back. So, if you tell the identity function the number 5, it will give you back the number 5, just like how if you wear your own clothes, you still look like you. The identity function doesn't add or take away anything, it just keeps things the same.
