Idjang

Okay kiddo, so you know what a house is, right? It's a place where people live, sleep and eat. But imagine if your house had walls and floors made out of rocks instead of wood and cement. That's what an idjang is - it's a traditional house in the Philippines that is made out of big rocks and stones.

Idjangs are usually built on top of hills or mountains, and they were used as a fortress or a shelter by the people who lived in them a long time ago. They are often built on high ground so they can be easily defended from any enemies that might attack.

Nowadays, idjangs are not really used as living spaces anymore because they are quite old and abandoned. People like to visit them to see how they used to be built and learn about the history of the Philippines. They are like big puzzles that people try to solve and learn from.

So, an idjang is like a house but made out of rocks and stones that was used as a shelter a long time ago. People visit the idjangs to learn about the history of the Philippines.
