ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Ijang

Okay kiddo, so ijang is a traditional Korean game that people like to play. It's kind of like a mix between hopscotch and tag.

To play ijang, you draw a big grid on the ground, kind of like a big tic-tac-toe board. Then you pick a player to be "it". That player stands in the middle of the grid and tries to tag the other players running around on the lines of the grid.

But here's the tricky part - the other players can only move on certain lines! Each turn, the players have to pick a line to hop on, and they can only move in one direction (either left or right). They have to be careful not to land on a line that's already been used, or they'll be out.

The game can get pretty intense, with lots of running and hopping and trying to dodge the "it" player. But it's also a lot of fun, and people have been playing ijang for hundreds of years!
