Impact force

Impact force is what happens when you hit something. Think of a time when you bumped into a wall or dropped something heavy on your foot. When that happens, it can hurt a lot! That's because the thing you dropped or hit with is pushing on your body, and that push is called impact force.

Imagine you are playing catch with a ball. When you throw the ball, it has energy because you put some force into making it move. The ball has this energy, and when it hits something, it transfers that energy to the thing it hits. The harder you throw the ball, the more impact force it will have when it hits, and the more force will be transferred to the thing it hits.

So, if you throw the ball really hard and it hits the wall, it will make a big impact force. If the wall was made of something soft, like a pillow, the impact force would be smaller because the pillow would absorb some of the energy. But if the wall was made of something hard, like brick, the impact force would be bigger and could hurt your hand!

Impact force can also happen when things fall from high up. If you drop a book from a table, it will hit the ground with force because it has energy from the height it fell from. That impact force can damage the book or the floor, depending on how hard it hits.

So, in summary, impact force is the force that happens when things hit each other. It's like a big push that can hurt or damage things, and how hard it is depends on how much energy the object had before it hit something.
