ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Implicit graph

Okay kiddo, let me explain what an implicit graph is.

Have you ever drawn a picture using dots or points? Each dot or point is a coordinate on a graph. But sometimes, we don't really draw the dots, we just know where they are based on some rules or formulas. This is what we call an implicit graph.

It's like a secret hidden graph that we can’t see, but we know it's there by using mathematical equations. We use these equations to figure out where the points should be, even though we haven’t actually drawn them.

It’s kind of like a treasure map where we follow certain instructions to find where the treasure is buried, even though we can’t see the treasure itself.

An implicit graph is really helpful when we want to study complex shapes or patterns that are hard to draw or visualize. By using equations and formulas, we can figure out what the graph looks like without having to draw every single point.

So, an implicit graph is like the secret behind certain patterns or shapes that we can discover using math, even if we can't see it with our own eyes like we can with other graphs.
