Inca art

Okay, so a long, long time ago there was a group of people called the Incas who lived in South America. These people were really good at making things look pretty, and they made a lot of really cool art.

One of the things they were really good at was weaving. Do you know what weaving is? It's when you take long pieces of string or fabric and cross them over each other to make a pattern. The Incas made all sorts of things by weaving, like blankets and clothing and even simple bags to carry things in.

Another thing the Incas were really good at was pottery. Pottery is when you take a lump of clay and shape it into a bowl or vase or something else you can use. The Incas made all sorts of things out of pottery, including cups, bowls, and even little statues.

The Incas also liked to carve things out of stone. They would take a big, heavy rock and use other tools to chisel it away until it looked like something cool. One thing they would often carve were faces, like a statue of a person's head.

The Incas also liked to create intricate patterns using beads and other small objects. Sometimes they would make patterns that looked like animals or plants, and sometimes they would make patterns that were just really pretty to look at.

Overall, Inca art is just a way of making things look beautiful. Whether it's by weaving patterns into fabric, shaping clay into pottery, carving rocks into statues, or making patterns out of beads, the Incas were really good at finding ways to create beauty in everything around them.
