Okay kiddo, sometimes there are awards for movies and one award is called the Independent Spirit Award for best cinematography. Cinematography is a big word that means how the movie looks, like the colors and the way the camera moves. So basically, this award is for the movie that looks the prettiest and was made by people who were working outside of the big movie studios. It gives a special recognition to filmmakers who did a really good job of filming things in a creative and beautiful way.
