Hello there, tiny explorer! Today, let's talk about the Indian Human Spaceflight Programme, which is also known as "Gaganyaan."
Do you know what astronauts are? They are people who travel into space and explore objects like the Moon, stars, and planets. In India, astronaut-like people are not called astronauts, but rather Vyomnauts.
Now, the Indian Human Spaceflight program is all about sending India's very first Vyomnauts into space! India aims to launch three Indians into space by the year 2022, which is not too far away.
Gaganyaan, has been in the works for many years, and now India is getting ever closer to making this happen. When India sends these Vyomnauts into space, they will be called the 'Vyommitra,' which means "friend in space."
To make it happen, India is building its own rocket called the "GSLV Mk-III" or the "Bahubali," which means the "mighty one." This rocket will be used to launch the Vyomnauts in space.
But before they go, the Vyomnauts will undergo a lot of training just like how we learn new things in school. They will learn about what it is like to live in space, and how to keep themselves safe while they are out there exploring.
So, in simple words, the Indian Human Spaceflight program is all about sending the first Indians to ever travel into space, and it is a very big and exciting project for the country.
