Indian Feudalism was a way for kings and rulers to keep order in their kingdom. People would give their loyalty and service to the king, and in exchange, the king would give them land. This land was called a 'fief' and it was the way people earned money and lived. The kings would appoint people to take care of their land and to collect taxes for the kingdom. They were called 'vassals', and if they didn't do a good job, the king could take away their land. This system lasted for many centuries, until India became a modern country.
