Indigenous Australian art

Indigenous Australian art is a type of art made by people who were the first to live in Australia a long, long time ago. They are called Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Their art is special because it tells stories about their ancestors, who they are, and where they come from. They use lots of different symbols, dots, and lines to make pictures that are really important to them.

Sometimes they paint these pictures on rocks or the ground or make sculptures out of wood or clay. They also use things like feathers, shells, and beads to create beautiful artworks.

Indigenous Australian art is also special because it connects people to their culture and traditions, and helps to keep those things alive. It's a way of sharing their history and stories with the world.
