The Indigenous Peoples Climate Change Assessment Initiative is a project started in 2018 that helps Indigenous people, who are part of different cultures around the world (such as Native American tribes), learn how to understand and prepare for climate change. The project teaches people how to collect scientific data about the effects of climate change on their environment, like measurements of temperature and rainfall, in order to help them make decisions about their future. The project also helps offer solutions to preventing the effects of climate change and helping their communities be more resilient when things do change.
