Indigenous territory (Colombia)

Indigenous territory is an area of land in Colombia that belongs to Indigenous people, like the Emberá and Wayuú. This land was once home to their ancestors and it is very important to them because it holds the culture and history of the Indigenous people. This land is also home to many animals and plants that are native to Colombia. The Colombian government recognizes this land and has set laws to protect it. This means that the land cannot be used for farming, building, or development without the permission of the Indigenous people. It also means that the land can be used to maintain their way of life and cultural traditions.
