Indus River

The Indus River is a big, long river that flows through a very important area in South Asia. It begins up in the mountains and then it winds its way down through Pakistan and India before finally flowing out into the Arabian Sea. The river is really important to the people who live near it because it provides water for drinking, for farming, and for making electricity. In fact, the Indus River is so important that several ancient civilizations developed along its banks, including the Harappan civilization, which built some really cool cities about 4,000 years ago! People still rely on the Indus River today, and they work really hard to make sure it stays clean and healthy.
