ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Indus Valley Civilisation

The Indus Valley Civilization was a long time ago, when people lived in a place called the Indus Valley. They built a lot of cool things, like big cities and buildings out of bricks. They also made art and jewelry. They had a writing system that we still can't understand.

The civilization was made up of people who were farmers and traders. They grew food and traded with other people for things they needed. The people of the Indus Valley were very smart and figured out how to use the rivers to help them grow crops.

They had a lot of different gods and goddesses that they believed in. They made statues of them and even had special places where they would pray to them.

The Indus Valley Civilization lasted for a long time, but eventually it disappeared. We don't really know why, but some people think maybe there was a big flood that washed everything away.

Even though the civilization is gone, we can still learn a lot from it. It helps us understand what life was like a long time ago and how people lived.
