ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Information grazing

Alright kiddo, do you ever go to a buffet or a snack table where there's lots of different kinds of food? Information grazing is like that, but instead of food, it's lots of different pieces of information that you can look at.

Sometimes when we're online or reading, there's so much information that we don't really have time to read everything in depth. That's when we can use information grazing to quickly look at lots of different things and get a general idea of what they're about.

It's kind of like a cow grazing on a big field of grass - they don't just eat one patch of grass, they move around and take little bites from all over. With information grazing, we can move around and look at different bits of information to get a sense of what's out there.

But just like how we need to be careful not to eat too much junk food from a buffet, we also need to be careful not to just skim over information without really understanding it. That's why sometimes it's important to take the time to really read and think about something, instead of just grazing on it like a cow.
