Infrared photography

Okay kiddo, do you know what a picture is? It's the same as when you draw something on a piece of paper, but a camera takes a picture using lights and special sensors.

Infrared photography is when a special camera takes pictures using a type of light that we can't see with our eyes. It's like when the lights are turned off and you can't see anything until someone turns them back on.

This special light is called infrared light and it's used a lot in things like security cameras to help see things at night. But, when used for photography, it can create really cool and unique photos!

For example, some plants reflect a lot of the infrared light and will appear really bright in the photo while people and animals don't reflect as much and will look darker. This creates a really interesting and different type of photo that can show the world in a new way.

So that's infrared photography - using special light that we can't see to take cool and unique pictures!
