Inner emigration

Inner emigration is when someone leaves their home country because they don't feel safe or comfortable there and they decide to go somewhere else in their own country. They may go to a different city, or to a different part of the same city. Usually, it's because of political or religious opinions or beliefs that people don't feel safe talking about in their own country, so they choose to leave for somewhere more accepting.
