ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Inscribed circle

Okay, so imagine you have a big circle. Now draw a smaller circle inside it. This smaller circle is called an inscribed circle.

The inscribed circle fits perfectly inside the big circle, touching the edges of the big circle all around.

The inscribed circle is special because it can tell us some cool information about the big circle. For example, if we know the radius (which is a fancy word for the distance from the center to the edge) of the inscribed circle, we can find out the radius, circumference, or area of the big circle.

So, the inscribed circle is like a super smart circle inside another circle, and it can help us figure out things about the big circle. Cool, huh?
