ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Institute for Field Research

The Institute for Field Research (IFR) is a program that sends students and scientists to different locations around the world to study and research the environment. These people go to places like deserts, rainforests, mountains, or any other places that have something special or different about them. They study things like plants, animals, and how these places have changed over time. They also try to figure out how people interact with their environment and how they can help protect it. By doing this, they are helping us learn more about the world and how to take better care of it.
