ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Institute of Sales Promotion

Imagine you have a toy that you really like, but your friend doesn't know about it yet. You want to tell them all about it and why it's so great. But how can you make them interested enough to want to play with it too? One way could be to show them some pictures or videos of you playing with it, or even let them borrow it for a little while so they can see for themselves how fun it is.

Now let's say you work for a company that makes toys and your job is to sell them to other people who might not know about them yet. You want to use some cool ideas to get their attention and encourage them to buy the toys. That's where the Institute of Sales Promotion comes in!

The Institute of Sales Promotion (or ISP for short) is like a special group of people who come up with really fun and interesting ways to help companies sell their products. They might suggest things like giving away free samples or prizes, creating fun games or challenges that show off the product, or making special advertisements that are extra eye-catching.

The ISP also helps companies figure out who to sell the toys to and how much they can charge for them. They help the company make a plan for how to get the toys into stores or websites where people can buy them.

So basically, the Institute of Sales Promotion is kind of like a group of really creative toy-selling experts who help companies come up with ways to get more people interested in and excited about buying their products.
