Integer lattices are like a grid of points on a flat surface. Imagine a piece of graph paper that you would use for math homework. Each square on the paper is made up of two numbers (or coordinates), one for the horizontal line and one for the vertical line. Together, these two numbers give you one point. All the points on the grid make a lattice that is called an integer lattice because all of the coordinates are made up of whole numbers, like 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, and so on.
