ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Regular grid

A regular grid is like a big square or rectangle that is divided into smaller squares or rectangles that are all the same size and shape. Just like how you might divide a piece of paper into smaller squares with the lines, a regular grid is a way to divide space into small, equal parts. It's like playing a game of tic-tac-toe on a piece of paper, but the lines go all the way across and every box is the same size.

People use regular grids for all sorts of things. Sometimes, they use them to help draw or plan out a picture or design. Other times, they use them to help with math, like when they need to figure out how many objects can fit into a certain area. But no matter what they use them for, regular grids always make things a little bit easier to understand and organize.
