Intellectual property (IP) is something that belongs to you that you create with your brain, like a song, book, or logo. In China, laws protect people’s right to keep their intellectual property safe. This means that if someone else copies your idea and tries to make money or get credit for it, you can take them to court and they might have to pay you back or stop doing what they’re doing.
