ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Intelsat

Okay kiddo, imagine you have a toy telephone and you want to call your friend who lives far away. But your toy phone doesn't have the power to send your voice all that distance. That's where Intelsat comes in.

Intelsat is like a giant grown-up telephone company. They have lots of fancy equipment that lets people and businesses from all over the world talk to each other, even if they are very far away.

How do they do it? Well, they have a bunch of big satellites way up in space, like really high up, even higher than the clouds. These satellites help send messages and calls between people, just like your toy phone does, but much much better.

Intelsat lets people from all over the world be connected, meaning you can chat with someone in another country and feel like they're right next door. Isn't that cool?
