Intensive pig farming

Okay, imagine you have a bunch of pigs that need to grow up big and healthy so they can become food for people to eat. Intensive pig farming is when you keep a lot of those pigs in one place, like a big house, so they can be taken care of all in one spot.

This helps farmers make sure that all the pigs get enough food, water, and medicine to stay healthy. The pigs don't have to worry about finding food on their own or getting sick from other animals outside.

But because there are so many pigs in one place, it's really important for farmers to keep everything clean so the pigs don't get sick. They use special tools, like big fans to keep the air moving, and they clean the floors every day to make sure the pigs have a clean place to live.

Some people worry that intensive pig farming might not be very nice for the pigs because they don't get to run around outside or play in the mud like they normally would. But farmers who do intensive pig farming say they make sure the pigs are comfortable and well taken care of so they can grow up strong and healthy.

So, intensive pig farming is a way to keep lots of pigs in one place so they can be taken care of easily and stay healthy, but it's really important for farmers to keep everything clean and make sure the pigs are comfortable.
