Inter-caste marriages in India are when two people from different castes decide to get married. Caste is a group of people from the same social or economic background and in India people from the same caste usually marry each other. Inter-caste marriages are when one person is from a higher caste and the other is from a lower caste. Generally, inter-caste marriages in India are not accepted by many people, including families and communities, and can cause a lot of problems.
