ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Interactive computing

Interactive computing is like playing with toys, but instead of toys, we are playing with computers. Just like how we can play with toys and get a response, with interactive computing we can give commands to the computer and it will respond with something that we can see or hear.

Imagine that you are telling a story to your toy and it responds with an action or sound. That's what happens when we interact with computers. We tell them what we want them to do, and they respond by doing it.

For example, if we want the computer to do some maths for us, we can type in a sum and the computer will give us the answer. This is called interactive computing because we are interacting with the computer to get a response.

Interactive computing can also be used to play games on the computer. Just like how we can play with toys that have buttons and switches, we can use the buttons and switches on the computer to play games. We can also use our voice and movements to interact with the computer, just like how we use our hands to play with toys.

In summary, interactive computing is like playing with toys, but instead of toys, we are playing with computers. We can give the computer commands and it will respond with something we can see or hear, just like how a toy responds to our actions. It's a fun and exciting way to learn and play.
