Intergovernmental organizations

Okay kiddo, so intergovernmental organizations are like groups that different countries join together to work together on important things. It's a bit like when you and your friends team up to play a game, except with countries and really big things.

These organizations can do lots of different things, like help countries work on problems like poverty or climate change, or they can try to promote peace between countries.

Some famous intergovernmental organizations are the United Nations, which has almost every country in the world as members, and the European Union, which is a group of countries in Europe that work together on things like trade and laws.

It's sort of like each country is a piece of a puzzle, and they all come together to make something bigger and better than they could on their own.
