Interleaver

An interleaver is a machine that mixes up data to make it harder to read. Think of it like throwing a deck of cards up in the air - all the cards are mixed up and you have to sort them again. That's kind of what an interleaver does - it sorts data into a different order so it's harder for the bad guys to figure out what the data is saying.
