ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Intermediate bulk container

An intermediate bulk container is basically like a big box that is used to store and transport things like liquids, solids or powders.

Imagine you have a big toy box at home that you can fill up with all your toys. An intermediate bulk container is like that toy box, but a lot bigger and made of tougher materials like plastic, steel or aluminum.

Instead of storing toys, it is used to store and transport different products that can be hazardous or need to be kept in a specific environment. It is called "intermediate" because it is between a small container and a tanker truck that can carry enormous amounts of liquids or solids.

The intermediate bulk containers come in several sizes, but most can hold around 1,000 litres or even more. They have a great advantage because they can be stacked on top of each other to save space when transporting or storing them.

Overall, intermediate bulk containers are a safe and practical way to transport and store liquids and solids, making sure that they get to their destination in proper condition while reducing waste and the risk of accidents.
