ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Internal consistency of the Bible

Okay, so imagine you're playing a puzzle game with a big picture. The pieces have to fit together perfectly to make the whole picture right?

Well, the Bible is a really big and important book that tells stories about God and His teachings. And just like a puzzle, it has to make sense and fit together perfectly to be true.

The internal consistency of the Bible means that the different parts of it don't contradict each other. If one part says God is love, another part can't say He's mean, right? It wouldn't fit together just like two puzzle pieces that don't match.

So, people study and make sure that every part of the Bible makes sense when put together. They make sure that everything fits together like a perfect puzzle. That way, people can trust the Bible's message and learn from it in the right way.
