International Atomic Energy Agency

The International Atomic Energy Agency is a global organization that helps countries use atomic energy (energy from atoms) safely. Atomic energy is the same kind of energy that is released when a nuclear weapon goes off. The IAEA wants to make sure that atomic energy is only used to make electricity, not to make weapons. The IAEA helps countries learn how to use the energy and makes sure that everyone follows the rules. They check that countries are not doing anything dangerous with the power so everyone can be safe.
