International Red Cross Wound Classification System

The International Red Cross helps people who are hurt or sick around the world. Sometimes people get hurt and they have cuts or wounds on their bodies. These wounds need to be looked at by doctors and nurses so they can make sure that the person gets better.

To help doctors and nurses understand how bad the wounds are, the International Red Cross has made a special system. This system helps them classify the wound based on how deep it is and how much it hurts.

The system is really simple. It has four different levels that go from the least bad to the most bad. The first level is called "Clean". This means that the wound is just a small cut that doesn't have any dirt or bacteria in it. The second level is called "Clean-Contaminated". This means that the wound has some dirt or bacteria in it, but the wound can still be cleaned easily. The third level is called "Contaminated". This means that the wound has a lot of dirt or bacteria in it, and it's harder to clean. The fourth level is called "Dirty or Infected". This means that the wound has a lot of dirt or bacteria and it's infected. This is the most serious type of wound and needs to be treated immediately.

It's really important for doctors and nurses to use this system because it helps them know how bad the wound is and how to treat it. So, if you ever get hurt and have a wound, the doctors and nurses will know exactly what to do to help you get better.
