International Religious Freedom Act of 1998

Okay, kiddo, so the International Religious Freedom Act of 1998 is a set of rules that the United States government made to protect people's rights to believe whatever they want.

Just like how you can choose what toy you want to play with, there are grown-ups and other people all around the world who choose to worship different things or believe different things.

Sometimes, though, people don't respect other people's beliefs and might even hurt them or make it hard for them to practice their religion. That's not fair, and the United States wants to make sure that everyone can practice their religion without being hurt or discriminated against.

So they made the International Religious Freedom Act to tell other countries that they need to follow these rules too, or else they might not be friends with the United States anymore. This way, people from all over the world can feel safe and free to practice their religion without being afraid.
