International broadcasting is when a television station or radio station sends out a signal that is meant to be shared with people who live in other countries. It works kind of like sending messages from one person to another with a radio or a cell phone. The signal gets sent out from the station and travels through the air, like a message in a bottle. It can travel for many miles and if somebody has the right kind of receiver, like a TV or a radio, then they can receive the signal from the broadcasting station and watch it or listen to it. So if you’re in France, you might be able to pick up a TV station from the USA, or if you’re in India, you might be able to pick up a radio station from the UK. International broadcasting allows more people around the world to know what’s going on in different places.
