International humanitarian law

International humanitarian law is a set of rules that help protect people in times of war. It helps to make sure that war is fought fairly and that people are treated fairly and humanely. It also helps to keep people safe and to make sure that people do not suffer unnecessary harm or violence. Basically, it helps to make war a little bit more humane and lessen the suffering of those affected by it.
