Quantum mechanics is a way of explaining how the world works at a very tiny scale. It is how tiny particles like atoms and electrons can behave and interact with things like light and other particles. It explains why atoms and electrons don't just zoom around everywhere but stay in certain places and it can also explain why they can be in lots of different places at once! Quantum mechanics uses math to explain how particles behave and how they can do things that seem impossible, like being in different places at the same time.
